“Revenge!” 2024
In college, ex-trio Sheen, Filmore and Rickard somehow discovered how to make themselves immortal.
After a grueling experimentation process involving various small animals and insects, they managed to assemble three—and only three—Special Immortality Potions, promising each other that they would keep their respective Potion safe until some sort of profitable deal or transaction could be arranged with some big pharmaceutical distributor. Long story short: while Sheen and Filmore honored their ends of the deal, Rickard—having decided eternal life meant more than profit and/or friendship—chugged his as soon as he got home. Sheen and Filmore were furious when they found out, so furious that they vowed to kill Rickard, a plan which was immediately foiled when they realized that he had obviously become immortal and thus couldn’t be killed. So in lieu of murder, they decided to also drink their Potions and patiently wait for the next best opportunity to fuck up Rickard’s “life” as hard as possible. So Sheen and Filmore waited patiently until—another long story short—Rickard’s post-grad career as a low level urban planner snowballed over the course of centuries into his overseeing the construction of a giant architecturally impossible metropolis. Meanwhile, Sheen and Filmore worked on a huge architecturally impossible robot that they eventually would use to tear the whole thing down.
So now—both gruesomely deformed as a byproduct of their immortality—Sheen’s comically small head protruding from the neck hole of their huge killing machine while Bill pilots it from the inside—they’re finally getting their vengeance. Tomorrow, Rickard will wake up in the smoldering rubble of his life’s work, not quite dead but maybe something even worse: centuries of work destroyed, he will be struck by the realization that he would rather be dead and buried with his two best friends than stuck forever alive with two mortal enemies.
